Our Team
Our amazing team of Mad Scientists dazzle children with their outgoing personalities that bring our science programs to life! Every member of our staff is focused on creating unforgettable experiences for each and every child; helping us spark imaginative learning throughout Central Virginia.
Each one of our Mad Scientists has experience working with preschool or elementary-level children. They have excellent presentation and classroom management skills, and they have all undergone an extensive background check.

Laser Lisa
Laser Lisa has been a Mad Scientist since 2011. In her free time she enjoys baking, playing Minecraft, hiking with friends and her dog Molly, and changing her hair color. Laser Lisa, takes science into the kitchen while studying to become a pastry chef!
Kinesiology Kat
Hi everyone! My name is Kinesiology Kat and I am very happy to be a mad scientist here in CVA! Some fast facts me are I am a VCU alumni, I enjoy trying new adventures and performing DIY activities.
Joule Julia
Mad Science is such a fun and effective way to answer the question why! Expanding youth’s understanding of our world. It is a true joy to see preschool scientists with eyes full of wonder and answer questions from older budding scientist. My background is in engineering, mathematics, and environmental protection.
