Description

Mad Science and NASA have teamed up to bring you the excitement and wonder of space in this new voyage of discovery. See the principles of thrust and propulsion at work as we explore the atmosphere on earth and beyond! Watch star dust burn, and journey through a galaxy as you investigate the life cycle of stars. Explore the farthest reaches of our solar system and create a lunar eclipse in this “mad” planetary tour. Probe the mysteries of meteors and bounce around satellite light as you learn about space phenomena.

Learn characteristics of the planets and discover the wonders of the Milky Way. See how air and wind affect kites, hot air balloons, and parachutes. Discover the fundamentals of rocketry, the stages of rocket flight and experiment with huge water rocket launches. We each build our own launchable rockets to take home.

It’s out of this world!

Additional Information

Astronauts in Training
Discover technology designed for outer space! Steer a laser beam through a laser maze, get a feel for radar technology, and discover everyday objects that were originally designed for use in space! Bring the excitement home with a Stereoscopic Viewer®
Earth & Beyond
Explore our solar system and create a lunar eclipse in this planetary tour! Work out your escape velocity to get away from gravity with a Gravity Assisted Launcher®. Next, explore the atmosphere on Earth, and beyond. Create a rainbow and make a sunset.
Eye on the Sky
Come take a closer look at asteroids, comets, satellites, and other lights in the night sky. Bring far-away objects into focus as you learn about the power of mirrors and lenses. Build a Space Telescope® to take home and participate in sky gazing
Solar Launch
Follow the life cycle of stars and see how constellations change when you travel across the galaxy. Learn to read a star chart and try your hand at following the skies to tell the time of year. Jump from star gazer to rocket scientist!
