Wiggly World of Worms

This workshop provides preschoolers with an opportunity to get their hands dirty while learning all about worms. They work with magnifying glasses to get an up-close look at the lives and habits of worms. Each kid gets to bring home a worm to show mom and dad what they learned!

Keep in Touch

Children learn what their sense of touch tells them about the world and they also learn that some objects are safe to touch while others are not. The preschoolers are presented with the challenge of identifying a variety of objects using only their sense of touch. They also experiment with an interesting material and make their very own creation.

Human Body

Children meet Mr. Bones, the skeleton, and learn about muscles and body systems. Children will get to piece together a skeleton and learn how our skeleton and muscles work together to help us move. Then they listen to their hearts beat with a stethoscope to hear how their hearts sound when they are sitting still and active. They will bring home a skeleton so they can keep exploring the skeleton

Color Lab

This workshop introduces preschoolers to the exciting world of color. They make a new friend while learning about the colors of the rainbow and experiment with their creative side during an activity on color mixing. Demonstrations are conducted to introduce students to the primary colors, as well as color mixing. Kids will explore color changes in action while making their very own sun catchers.

Mad Mixtures

Kids will be chemists for the day as we explore what happens when we mix different materials and explore why they can't mix others. Kids will have a blast with baking soda volcanoes and then make their own modeling dough to take home.

Magnetic Attraction

Children experience the poles and power of magnets in this hands-on workshop that provides them with the opportunity to make their own magnet to take home.

Butterflies

Preschoolers will learn all about butterflies; where they come from, the stages of their growth, and how they eat. They even make some of their own winged critters to take home.

Water Works

Water is more complicated than it looks and through this exciting workshop children learn all about the different properties of water. They experiment with floating, sinking, absorption, and so much more. Kids will make a Discovery Sparkle Tube to bring home and keep exploring the properties of water.

Weather Wonders

Preschoolers help create a cloud in a bottle and make it rain inside. They also learn all about the water cycle and weather patterns, and design their very own windsock to take home.

Sea, Sand & Surf

Children explore the science of the sea and learn about what sand is made from, how shells are used by animals for protection, and what animals live in the ocean. They make their own ocean bottle to take home.

Digging for Dinosaurs

Kids are introduced to the differences between meat-eating and plant-eating animals. They have the opportunity to look at some dinosaur teeth up close and work as paleontologists, by participating in a mini dinosaur dig that engages their attention and helps them improve their scientific knowledge. Each kid will get to make imprints just like a real paleontologist to bring home.

Eye to Eye

This workshop introduces students to their sense of sight. They experiment with magnifying glasses, kaleidoscopes, and binoculars. The preschoolers also interact with a variety of optical illusions to illustrate that their eyes can sometimes play tricks on them.

Space Frontiers

Take your class on a trip through the solar system and sign them up for the Mad Science Astronaut in Training Program, where they will learn all about the elements of space. Students will even get to take their very own mini rocket home.
