Kids put on their lab coats and stick out their tongues, as they discover the delicious biology behind their taste buds. Correlates with SOL K.1, K.2 1.1 2.1
Dinosaurs
Kids examine fossil casts and explore the differences in the teeth of herbivorous and carnivorous dinosaurs. Students participate in a mini dinosaur excavation and make an impression of a dinosaur to take home. SOL correlations K.1,6,7; 1.1,5; 2.1,5
Magnificent Magnets
Kids discover the invisible fields surrounding magnets with our iron filings. They devise and perform experiments to test magnetic strength. SOL correlations K.1,3; 1.1; 2.1,2
Where’s the Air?
This dynamic class explores the concepts of air pressure and buoyancy through hands-on activities that encourage students to interact with the principles of air pressure. They will get to make their own flying device to take home. SOL correlations K.1; 1.1; 2.1
Slippery Science
This class demystifies one of the most beneficial molecules known to humankind…polymers! Students even get to make their very own polymer to take home, SLIME! SOL correlations K.1,2,4; 1.1; 2.1
